Privacy Policy

FishCast ("we", "us") is operated by Draven Gabriel, ABN 32 834 146 161, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. This policy explains what information the FishCast app and website collect and how we use it.

The short version

• No sign-up, no accounts, no passwords.
• We don't ask for your name, email or phone number in the app.
• We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
• Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details.

What we collect

Subscription information. When you start a free trial or subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history (product, dates, price, country). It does not receive your name or payment details.

Forecast requests. To show conditions, the app requests weather, swell and tide data for the spots you view, directly from our weather data provider (Open-Meteo) and, for tides, via our own server (hosted on Cloudflare) from WillyWeather. These requests contain the coordinates of the fishing spot you're viewing, not your location, plus standard technical information such as your device's IP address, which is used only to deliver the data.

On your device only. Your saved spots, your chosen "coming home" time and any conditions calls you log are stored on your phone. They aren't sent to us.

Diagnostics. FishCast doesn't currently use analytics or crash-reporting tools.

Location. FishCast does not access your device location.

Email. If you email us, we use your email address only to reply.

How we use it

• To deliver forecasts and conditions ratings
• To unlock the app for active subscribers and trials
• To reply to support requests

Sharing

We only share information with the service providers that run the app (Apple, RevenueCat, Open-Meteo, WillyWeather, Cloudflare and our email provider), and only as needed for them to provide their service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Storage and security

Our providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect information.

Your choices

• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
• Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing fishcast.support@gmail.com.

Children

FishCast is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will show the latest version.
